Sincere Sincerity

man-praying at the cross

Beloved Ones of the Lord,

I receive a couple of emails/texts with scriptures each morning for inspiration and meditation. Maybe you do as well?  This morning it struck me as I read the messages that both scriptures from two completely different sources had the word sincere or sincerity in them.  Have you ever had a word seem to pop off the page when you read the Bible and you KNOW there is something special Holy Spirit is trying to highlight? That is the experience I had when I read these verses. While the revelation of the two scriptures could be taken different directions, it is sincerity and being sincere that is the message of the day, in fact, Holy Spirit is impressing upon me that it is a message for the days we are navigating right now.

So, what scripture verses did I receive? Here they are!

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of ChristPhilippians 1:9-10 NKJV

This verse features the Greek word Heilikrines = pure, sincere, unsullied; found to be pure when opened and examined in the sunlight

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6 NLT

This verse features another Greek word Ekzeteo = sincerely and diligently search out, scrutinize and investigate, demand, beg for, require and crave

Two sides to sincerity are presented by these words. Both are vitally, even desperately, needed at this juncture in time.  Holy Spirit is downloading to me right now that if we are to move forward and step into the Father’s glorious plans for the USA (read Golden Grain of the Threshing Floor ) and, if we want to be participators in His worldwide reformation (read Beginning of a Light Yoke Era  and  The Other Side of the Door), we must be both a sincere person (Heilikrines) and sincerely (Ekzeteo) seek HIM and HIS ways.

That prompted in me to begin questioning my own state of being much like David asked to be searched for any wicked way in him (Psalm 139:23). The question came to me: Am I sincerely sincere and do I walk in sincere sincerity?  To me that meant: Am I the real deal, Lord? Can you examine me in the sunlight? Yes, I am washed by the blood of Jesus, but have I dirtied my garments with no repentance? Am I seeking after You because I crave more intimacy with YOU; because I require YOUR presence. Do I sincerely investigate YOUR ways or do I walk in the presumption of my own desires? (Read Wisdom Beginnings)

These are keenly important questions the body of Christ needs to ask themselves as a precursor to being called forth as powerful Demonstrators of Jesus’ love in our world. Those who will “pay the price” of taking up their cross, sincerely seeking Him and following after Him WILL be rewarded! They will become amazing reflections of HIM and walk in the “greater works” promised in John 14:12. However, Holy Spirit is speaking to my heart right now: Know this! God’s power and the purity of His love cannot flow freely through an insincere vessel that is living a life seeking after Him periodically, or never doing so, or being stuck in the rote motions of a religious life.

It is time for MORE, for the amazing MORE that our loving Father wishes to pour out through us to those who do not know Him! And, we are being urged to enter our highest call! We cannot be perfect this side of heaven, but we can walk in sincere sincerity. Our Father in heaven can do a lot with that!

With love and great JOY,

Rev. Cheryl

Perceptions

Perception

Today the Lord  spoke to me: Your perceptions must be My Perceptions.

For the past week Holy Spirit has been reminding me of revelation He gave me years ago about our Noema – that is the Greek word used in the Bible to describe how we perceive things. It is a complex combination of what are the facts and what we feel about those facts. Interestingly, how we feel about the facts can outweigh those facts. Sounds, smells or fragrances, good and bad memories, mindsets, habits, and imagination form an oleo that becomes our truth about a situation, our lives, or other people.  Once we believe something is true we begin to live our life according to it – whether it is really true or not.

Many in the body of Christ have or are about to step through a wide open door into a new season of walking with the Lord and being demonstrators of who He is. On the Other Side of the Door is increased glory on earth and the Beginning of Signs.  We will be freer than ever as we will have cleansed hearts and minds. We will have let go of heavy burdens at the feet of Jesus. We have learned how persevere, to remain humble, to rest in Him and we will have received His light yoke in exchange for our busy work, work, work religious attitudes. (Read Beginning of a Light Yoke Era)  The first days on the other side of the door flowing in glory will be so full of JOY!  There is always celebration when burdens are gone and we are released into a new season. The people of the world will be drawn to what they see in us. The harvest will increase as we share our joy in Jesus! We will be living Psalm 126.

As I visioned with the Lord, suddenly I saw… Continue reading

Beginning of a Light Yoke Era

Hebrew_chet

Good news is pouring out of heaven to me today as it has for the past two days. As Yom Teruah just ended and we have begun the 10 days of Awe, ending with Yom Kippur,  Holy Spirit is leading all in the body of Christ, who will listen and yield to His promptings, into a new era. Yes, I said ERA.

This is the season of the year when our God makes changes. He ends things and begins things. Sometimes that is for the year, or the decade, or the century or all three. Today, I kept hearing from Him that a new era has begun where the body of Christ will steadily become the spotless wrinkle free bride for whom Jesus will return. She will be worry free, fear free, prejudice free, bitterness free, hate free… she will be FREE! No wrinkles of life will be left that cause her to stumble and fall. She will rise out the ashes of this life with none of the sorrows upon her. She will have finally developed eyes for Jesus only.  And, as she goes to Him He will present her with His “Light Yoke.”  This is the KEY to the new door He has opened wide. (Read Other Side of the Door). This is the KEY to the new era.

Matthew 11:28-29 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Holy Spirit also showed me today … Continue reading

Wisdom Beginnings

The Beginning – Part 5 “Wisdom Beginnings” by Rev. Cheryl Birch

wisdom

This morning I woke up quoting this verse: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

This verse has been on my heart all morning and it is not abating.  I strongly believe it is a word that we must all grab onto in these tumultuous times in our nation and the world. It would be easy to launch out of my own heart on this one as there is so much evidence we, the body of Christ, are NOT walking in much wisdom these days.  However, my style when the Lord gives me a verse, especially one I wake up with, is to meditate on it for a time and find all the places in the word of God where something similar is said. That way I can get a clearer picture and more full understanding of what Holy Spirit is trying to tell me.

Here is what I found:

And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’” Job 28:28

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psalm 111:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, And before honor is humility. Proverbs 15:33

The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,   The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. Isaiah 11:2

These verses became personal as I allowed the words of the Lord to penetrate. They sent me a completely different direction.  Instead of looking outward at what is happening around me,  I realized I needed to ask Holy Spirit for these “Wisdom Beginnings” for ME.  Of course, the greater body of Christ needs wisdom too, but this time it was a message the Lord was giving me first. I needed the reminder. From that revelation came the heart of the message the Lord is asking me to share today. When we receive a word, or a scripture is highlighted by Holy Spirit, where do our thoughts on it go first? And, do we ever consider that where we are applying the scripture is not fully what the Lord is trying to tell us? It matters not in this question of the moment whether we tend to turn the scripture outward to the church, or the world, or inward to our own lives.  Very simply, whichever way we have applied the scripture, is that the fullness of what God is saying to us or have we missed it? The Beginning

The Beginning – Part 1

As I was praying and asking Holy Spirit to guide me in what to read and study the next few weeks, I heard in my heart so clearly: The Beginning. Amazingly, a moment later I opened my Bible randomly and it was to the book of John Chapter 1. The first words are “In the beginning.” That “coincidence” certainly convinced me that I had received a “God-impression!”

WIN_20170829_100518

So, I started my study on “the beginning” with John chapter 1: “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” I had written across the top a while ago; This Word is Jesus and Jesus is this Word! The chapter goes on to say: “He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Those first verses got me thinking about creation and Jesus the Son of God, the light of the world. Genesis 1:1-5 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

Everything that was made, was made through Jesus. All good things, all things with a purpose to bless, from the very beginning of our world were created through Jesus. When light appeared it overcame the darkness,  What was void and formless it goes on to say, began to take on form and pattern. That pattern it says in John Chapter 1 was ALL reflective of Jesus, the Word incarnate, the Light of men.

So, the beauty of a flower, the intricacy of a living being, the complexity of a human being, the sweetness of a kitten,  the strength of the mountains, the loveliness of a grassy meadow, the power of rushing waters, the stunning majesty of a sunset or sunrise, the orderly pattern and design of the nature and the heavens, the spectacular variety and creativity found in our world (and so much more) are ALL a reflection of Him through Whom it was created.

Much gets blamed on God, but nothing dark, ugly, diseased, evil, deadly or malformed came from Him. That all that bad stuff entered our world when the first of humankind, Adam and Eve, opened the door for darkness to rule instead of light. These evils and banes in our world are reflective of the work of that old serpent, the devil and our human willingness to partner with his twisted and perverted plans to make God’s lovely creation hideous.

The most marvelous thought about this first day of studying “the beginning” is that even as all creation was formed through Him, Jesus knew the door to darkness would be opened and the purity and beauty of His creation would be tainted and twisted by evil. The magnificence of creation, the beginning, is that He also knew the end and all that would happen in between, including His death and resurrection. Yes, including the plan to redeem humankind and give us the opportunity to answer Him when He calls our name out of darkness into His marvelous light.  And, eventually, when the time is right, He will remake the entire earth into a place that is once again, totally reflective of Him.

Now, we have that which reflects Him in part. Soon, very soon, we will have “The Beginning of all Beginnings” when He revisits the earth as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  In the mean time, my prayer is that we all learn how to be reflections of Him in the earth as much as is possible. Let us step into our personal new beginning and be His light in our world.

Peace and Joy in our Lord!

Rev. Cheryl

Refreshing Wind

Refreshing

What I have observed is that weariness and a sense of oppression has been rampant among the remnant and intercessors. Truly it is vital that we continue to pray for each other as we go through increasingly difficult times of fear hitting our nation and more spiritual darkness comes upon the earth.

We have been in a season of steadily increasing challenges, a very unsettling time.  This message not to tell you that the world will be “normal” again, or that this season will go away and be all be over and done with soon. That is not the truth. The Lord has told me many times since the mid-1990s we are going to see very dark days and perplexing things in our nation and this world, BUT the church will glow brighter and brighter with His Love and Presence. We will be more and more His anointed representatives, Christ-like Ambassadors, and people will run to His Light.

Don’t give up and pull-back! We must continue to stand in faith, believe and pray,  for our prayers are benefiting our communities, state, and nation in magnificent ways we can’t yet see. Though He tells me many of you are tired to the bone, know that Jesus and Holy Spirit stand with you and all of heaven is responding to your prayers. All you may see, feel, hear and smell is war and resistance, but what you are doing is helping others receive from God what they could not receive or cannot receive without prayer intervention. Your sacrifice is worth it!

Hang on just a little longer is what I am hearing. There is a very specific and special refreshing wind for the intercessors and the remnant praying church that is about to be released by the Father. When it comes, be prepared for amazing change in YOU and around you. This wind is what many of you have been waiting for. He has told you about it and it is about to blow freely through the remnant church to give us strength and ability to stand for Him in these times.

Father God is very proud of you and pleased with you. Trust Him and keep seeking Him. The reward of His loving touch in your life and the resulting outpouring of salvation, blessing and favor around you is a treasure worth great sacrifice. He is worth walking through this trialing time.

Stand fast in Him and believe He loves you and has your best in mind.

With love and JOY,

Rev Cheryl
