Wisdom Beginnings

The Beginning – Part 5 “Wisdom Beginnings” by Rev. Cheryl Birch

wisdom

This morning I woke up quoting this verse: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

This verse has been on my heart all morning and it is not abating.  I strongly believe it is a word that we must all grab onto in these tumultuous times in our nation and the world. It would be easy to launch out of my own heart on this one as there is so much evidence we, the body of Christ, are NOT walking in much wisdom these days.  However, my style when the Lord gives me a verse, especially one I wake up with, is to meditate on it for a time and find all the places in the word of God where something similar is said. That way I can get a clearer picture and more full understanding of what Holy Spirit is trying to tell me.

Here is what I found:

And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’” Job 28:28

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psalm 111:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, And before honor is humility. Proverbs 15:33

The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,   The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. Isaiah 11:2

These verses became personal as I allowed the words of the Lord to penetrate. They sent me a completely different direction.  Instead of looking outward at what is happening around me,  I realized I needed to ask Holy Spirit for these “Wisdom Beginnings” for ME.  Of course, the greater body of Christ needs wisdom too, but this time it was a message the Lord was giving me first. I needed the reminder. From that revelation came the heart of the message the Lord is asking me to share today. When we receive a word, or a scripture is highlighted by Holy Spirit, where do our thoughts on it go first? And, do we ever consider that where we are applying the scripture is not fully what the Lord is trying to tell us? It matters not in this question of the moment whether we tend to turn the scripture outward to the church, or the world, or inward to our own lives.  Very simply, whichever way we have applied the scripture, is that the fullness of what God is saying to us or have we missed it?

Scripture is a very powerful thing! The good news is no matter where we wholeheartedly apply it, there will be results. It will always create a new beginning.  Yes, every time you receive a scripture, grab it, and apply it something new is started! It is a seed that can grow, mature and bear fruit. However, when it was given to us or highlighted for a specific purpose and we miss that purpose, the magnificence of what Father God wanted us to experience with Him is delayed. A grand powerful new beginning, a launching into a new season, freedom from what has bound us or others, deep intercession for a city or region of the world, can be delayed and even missed.  Why? Because we are living in presumption and not living our lives in the fear of the Lord.

So, does that mean we are to be shaking in our boots before a punishing condemning God and not doing anything until we are totally sure or He will strike us with lightning? No, absolutely not! He is the author of grace and mercy. He is love itself. Instead, look at it this way: The fear of the Lord means we honor Him above all things, we love Him so much and want to be like Him so much that we take time to sit with Him, listen to Him, yield to Him, and that we desire only what He desires. It also means we take the time to ask Him to explain to us what His word means and where to apply it rather than assuming. There is no fear of the Lord in assumption and presuming. It is all driven by our own heart and thoughts and concerns.

What I needed personally was a reminder to take time and consider all applications of the scripture I woke up with this morning. I needed a personal wisdom beginning through honoring Him so that I could gain supernatural understanding through His counsel and might.  That led to turning away from the evil of assumption and presumption and toward God’s heart and mind and plans.  It is the sitting with the Lord for a time and asking Him to quicken His Word that makes the difference. Once we do that and express our willingness to do things His way, He WILL give us what we need!

Then as it says in Isaiah 33:6 “Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, And the strength of salvation; The fear of the Lord is His treasure.”  There is a treasure house of wisdom and knowledge available to us every day in every situation and it is found in the heavenly treasure chest marked “The Fear of the Lord.”  Each nugget found there can launch us into something gloriously new in Him and in our lives. When we become new, everything around us begins to change and reflects His goodness.

On another occasion I may be launched into immediate deep intercession for the body of Christ. But, today, my prayer is that the word of the Lord would change me, that I would honor Him more, and gain the wisdom and knowledge I need to represent Him well. And to obey Him by sharing my findings with all of you. Yes, Lord, give us all “wisdom beginnings” I pray, in Jesus Holy Name!

With much love and joy to you,

Rev Cheryl

The Beginning

The Beginning – Part 1

As I was praying and asking Holy Spirit to guide me in what to read and study the next few weeks, I heard in my heart so clearly: The Beginning. Amazingly, a moment later I opened my Bible randomly and it was to the book of John Chapter 1. The first words are “In the beginning.” That “coincidence” certainly convinced me that I had received a “God-impression!”

WIN_20170829_100518

So, I started my study on “the beginning” with John chapter 1: “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” I had written across the top a while ago; This Word is Jesus and Jesus is this Word! The chapter goes on to say: “He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Those first verses got me thinking about creation and Jesus the Son of God, the light of the world. Genesis 1:1-5 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

Everything that was made, was made through Jesus. All good things, all things with a purpose to bless, from the very beginning of our world were created through Jesus. When light appeared it overcame the darkness,  What was void and formless it goes on to say, began to take on form and pattern. That pattern it says in John Chapter 1 was ALL reflective of Jesus, the Word incarnate, the Light of men.

So, the beauty of a flower, the intricacy of a living being, the complexity of a human being, the sweetness of a kitten,  the strength of the mountains, the loveliness of a grassy meadow, the power of rushing waters, the stunning majesty of a sunset or sunrise, the orderly pattern and design of the nature and the heavens, the spectacular variety and creativity found in our world (and so much more) are ALL a reflection of Him through Whom it was created.

Much gets blamed on God, but nothing dark, ugly, diseased, evil, deadly or malformed came from Him. That all that bad stuff entered our world when the first of humankind, Adam and Eve, opened the door for darkness to rule instead of light. These evils and banes in our world are reflective of the work of that old serpent, the devil and our human willingness to partner with his twisted and perverted plans to make God’s lovely creation hideous.

The most marvelous thought about this first day of studying “the beginning” is that even as all creation was formed through Him, Jesus knew the door to darkness would be opened and the purity and beauty of His creation would be tainted and twisted by evil. The magnificence of creation, the beginning, is that He also knew the end and all that would happen in between, including His death and resurrection. Yes, including the plan to redeem humankind and give us the opportunity to answer Him when He calls our name out of darkness into His marvelous light.  And, eventually, when the time is right, He will remake the entire earth into a place that is once again, totally reflective of Him.

Now, we have that which reflects Him in part. Soon, very soon, we will have “The Beginning of all Beginnings” when He revisits the earth as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  In the mean time, my prayer is that we all learn how to be reflections of Him in the earth as much as is possible. Let us step into our personal new beginning and be His light in our world.

Peace and Joy in our Lord!

Refreshing Wind

Refreshing

What I have observed is that weariness and a sense of oppression has been rampant among the remnant and intercessors. Truly it is vital that we continue to pray for each other as we go through increasingly difficult times of fear hitting our nation and more spiritual darkness comes upon the earth.

We have been in a season of steadily increasing challenges, a very unsettling time.  This message not to tell you that the world will be “normal” again, or that this season will go away and be all be over and done with soon. That is not the truth. The Lord has told me many times since the mid-1990s we are going to see very dark days and perplexing things in our nation and this world, BUT the church will glow brighter and brighter with His Love and Presence. We will be more and more His anointed representatives, Christ-like Ambassadors, and people will run to His Light.

Don’t give up and pull-back! We must continue to stand in faith, believe and pray,  for our prayers are benefiting our communities, state, and nation in magnificent ways we can’t yet see. Though He tells me many of you are tired to the bone, know that Jesus and Holy Spirit stand with you and all of heaven is responding to your prayers. All you may see, feel, hear and smell is war and resistance, but what you are doing is helping others receive from God what they could not receive or cannot receive without prayer intervention. Your sacrifice is worth it!

Hang on just a little longer is what I am hearing. There is a very specific and special refreshing wind for the intercessors and the remnant praying church that is about to be released by the Father. When it comes, be prepared for amazing change in YOU and around you. This wind is what many of you have been waiting for. He has told you about it and it is about to blow freely through the remnant church to give us strength and ability to stand for Him in these times.

Father God is very proud of you and pleased with you. Trust Him and keep seeking Him. The reward of His loving touch in your life and the resulting outpouring of salvation, blessing and favor around you is a treasure worth great sacrifice. He is worth walking through this trialing time.

Stand fast in Him and believe He loves you and has your best in mind.

With love and JOY,

Rev Cheryl

Strong in the Lord

In prayer this past week the Lord’s word to me has been “You are stronger in Me than you think you are!” This I have realized is a word not only to me but to His church in 2016.

bowedDown

As I sought the Lord on this, He impressed on me that too many have forgotten what it means to be be strong in in His Might (Ephesians 6:10). The reality in the Kingdom of God is that the weaker and more dependent on God we are, the more we are strong in Him.  Paul and the writer of Hebrews knew this. Both said that out of weakness we are made strong.

It is a matter of dependence, not partial dependence, but full dependence upon God. Knowing that no matter what goes on in our lives, if we endeavor to rely fully on Him, He infuses us with His strength.

Right now, in 2016, in His mercy He is intensely training a huge number of His chosen revealing to them where they are self-reliant. You may feel like your world fell apart, and it did because His goal is total dependence upon Him! Whether it is a storm going on in our personal lives, an infirmity,  or He calls us to step out of our comfort zone to minister to others for His Kingdom purposes, He is about the business of proving that our greatest victory is when we give up our ways and do it His way.  When we finally say we are not able, but we know our God is able, He gives us the words and the actions that will glorify Him… He gives us His love and compassion for those He sends us to or we are sent to. He gives us His wisdom in every kind of situation.

Humility is the key. There is absolutely nothing we can do to build His Kingdom without relying upon Him. As the body of Christ embraces total God-dependence, there is a new boldness coming! In 2016, an army of God-dependent sons and daughters are going to step out of their time of testing and the temptation to give up…they will show forth whom they serve in great confidence. Doubt, unbelief, wavering, fear etc will be gone replaced by perfect love and they will be radiant ambassadors exhibiting the character and qualities of Christ Jesus their Lord.

Be encouraged! You are stronger than you think you are in Christ!

Never Give up! The Father has only GOOD in mind for you!

With love,

Rev. Cheryl

In Christ you CAN do it!

ICanDoAllStrengtensMe

A word for 2016:

While some folks are reporting tremendous breakthrough in the New Year, others find themselves suddenly plunged into heavy challenges or, all the overwhelming junk of 2015 simply continued to be overwhelming. I am rejoicing with those reporting breakthroughs, but I am also standing in faith for all of the body of Christ who are feeling heavy laden.

Though some days you may not want to even get out of bed, this is the truth: You CAN do all things needed in your life through Christ who strengthens you… If you yield, He takes over. Not like you are a puppet, but suddenly and supernaturally, with the help of the Holy Spirit, the physical strength is there and divine purpose to continue walking with Him becomes more important than the challenges faced.

Good News! In the midst of the challenge know this: you are being refined and made more like Him!

All you need to do is trust and believe – He is doing all the work in you to make you pure silver and gold. Rejoice in Christ Jesus in the midst of trials knowing there is always a divine purpose and plan for YOU.

With love to you beloveds,

Rev Cheryl

Pentecost 2015

Prophetic release May 22, 2015

pentecost-fall-545-p

(From the Lord) This Pentecost will be like no other. Be Alert! Something remarkable is about to happen. In the past there have been cities or churches where I demonstrated My Love and Power. In this season, it will not be the same. It will not be one or two places that I visit with demonstration, it will be all over the world at the same time. My Spirit, My very person, will touch My churches and they will KNOW Me and they will be made new. I will press into them all over, in every nation, in every city and I will do it all at once and it will change the face of My church. Worldwide I will do this.

Release My Angels with your prayers. Release them tonight to circle the globe. Circle the globe to the North, South, East and West and every point in-between. Angels of refreshing, renewal, reformation, revival. Angels bearing joy, peace, comfort, healing, revelation, wisdom, understanding. Release with your prayers My Angels carrying scrolls of Discipleship. Angels taking scrolls of Discipleship, My Words, to converts worldwide. They shall be converts no more! They shall receive the Words they need. They shall not be stunted and hindered any longer by religious walls and lack of commissioning. They shall grow and be My Sons and My Daughters.

An explosion of My love will hit My church. This Pentecost, this Shavuot, is not like others. Ready yourselves for I will begin this Pentecost.

Dead dry churches. I (Cheryl) see a dead dry church. Everyone in their Sunday best. Sitting on the pews with blank faces. Suddenly a wind. A mighty wind. Rushing sound of a wind hits that place. They cannot help but praise HIM, they explode with PRAISES for their King Jesus! They are refreshed, they are freed. The prison doors are opened. The Holy Spirit will set prisoners FREE to worship the King of Kings, King Jesus! It begins this Pentecost!

Angels are here. I (Cheryl) see what looks like aprons. They are shimmering with glory. They are not aprons they are being tied around the shoulders of God’s people.Release with your prayers Angels carrying mantels. They are new mantels. The old is being removed and a new mantel is being given for this season. The mantels will strengthen, refresh, increase and make new! Mantels of confidence, mantels of new energy, zeal and passion, mantels of joy, peace, hope.

When the people step into these new mantels they will release joy wherever they go, peace wherever they go, hope wherever they go, passion, zeal, renewed strength and energy wherever they go… in great confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ! This is new all new!!!

(back to the Lord) My Sons, My Daughters walking in new mantels, throughout the whole earth, the old removed, the new has come. You are receiving new mantels tonight. My Church shall receive new mantels this Pentecost, this Shavuot is not like others. I am gifting Myself to you in a new way.

My Church is ARISING! She shall not be hindered any longer. Demonic forces shall not stop her. Religious dead rules shall not hinder her. She is rising up NOW! This Pentecost she shall walk in the fire of my love. She shall reflect ME. Suddenly, My church shall be seen for who she is in ME!

…..

This was received and released at our worship and bible study Friday May 22nd at about 8 PM. The Holy Spirit grabbed the meeting and we moved in intense intercession followed by these words and visions. I have endeavored to clarify what I heard the Lord speak to me and what I was seeing and interpreting. While we were praying and releasing angels Pam saw this: “I was seeing a man on a horse. He was a king with a crown and he had a scepter extended upward. He moved the scepter as if pointing it when you released and commissioned the angels to take the scrolls.”

May this prophetic release be an encouragement to you! Be expectant this Pentecost. Something wonderful is about to happen!
