It’s our Greatest Hour…Do not fear!

Ya know church, we are entering our greatest hour! Isaiah 54 is for us: Sing! Enlarge the place of your tent! Spread out and prepare for many to come into the Kingdom of God! Then our Lord also says: FEAR NOT. Why? Because our enemy is on the move to deceive us into thinking we are doomed when, in fact, we are entering GLORY!

I have been feeling strongly in the spirit that we are about to see many things in the natural world that will cause sweeping fear among the people both believers and not. There has been quite a lot of bad news lately, but this will be more intense, very disturbing on the surface, and move people potentially to panic. The Lord spoke clearly while I was reading in Isaiah 7 about a situation that happened to Judah; it says in verse 2 that the people’s hearts shook like trees in the wind. God said to His prophet “Go out” and tell the nation “Do NOT FEAR or be faint-hearted at these smoking firebrands… in verse 7 the Lord declares their plans shall not stand, neither shall they come to pass! No matter what we see in the news (which is usually mostly not true anyway), or hear with our ears, listen to the voice of God instead! He is telling His people in this hour DO NOT FEAR! This is just smoke and mirrors!

If we stand strong in faith, listen to God and do what He says, nothing shall in anyway harm us! Stay the course sons and daughters of God! The prize of His manifest presence as He habitats with us in refreshing revival is just around the corner!

Fervency Choice

Heard this while I was praying: “Fervency is a Choice.” Seems like we are in a cycle in the body of Christ of waiting for a powerful song or a dynamic anointed preacher or someone’s powerful prayer over us to trigger fervency, fire and passion in our hearts. That can happen, but one of two things will occur. First one I hear all the time: “The meeting (or prayer, or song) was so great and I was so excited to finally feel free and passionate for the things of God. Now, I am feeling stuck again. Right back to where I was.” The second one is that a fire is lit in the person and it doesn’t go out. Why the difference? The second one the person was transformed because they were not centered on the feelings or experiences at the meeting. They were centered on receiving from God even if, when they left the meeting or prayer time, they felt no immediate change.

Fervency, fire and passion are not inextricably tied to shouting, jumping, running, dancing, clapping or enthusiastic physical or verbal expressions of joy. Fervency is however very tied to an unwavering intimate relationship with God through prayer and worship. That can manifest as clapping, jumping and shouting, but more often true abiding fervency and passion is expressed in our daily interactions with God and with the people He has placed in our lives. It flows out of us as tears of intercession over lost souls and nations trapped in sin, or as rivers of living water to our family members, co-workers and neighbors. It says in Jeremiah 20 that the word of God became fire in his bones (Jer 20:9) and in Psalm 104:4 it says God makes His ministers flames of fire. That happened for both Jeremiah and the Psalmist because of the presence of God in their lives.

Fervency is a choice, because daily we must choose to come into the presence of God or not and choose whether to receive from Him or not. Then it is our choice whether to keep all we receive from Him for ourselves, or to pass on what He has imparted to others. It is in the giving away that the fire keeps burning. There is no lack of fiery passion and fervency in the presence of God. He will daily light “your match.” There is a lack on our part of choosing to go boldly to the throne of Grace, receive out of His abundance and share what we have received. Romans 12:10-13, Hebrews 4:14-15

We can sit passionless and hope that something triggers a fire in us, or we can actively choose to say to our God, I want your presence and all You have for me. I choose to be fervent in my pursuit of YOU. Jesus said when we do that, when we keep our eyes fixed on God, then everything else will be added to us, when we give to God He will pour back to us more than we can contain. Luke 12:32-37, Luke 6:38

Father, we choose to fervently seek Your presence. I pray in Jesus name, that we would not only seek You, but receive from You, and flow with Your love and passion as we give away all that we receive to the people around us in great need. Let Your fiery love flow through us! AMEN!

In the Holy of Holies

I was reading 2 Chronicles Chapter 3-8 studying Solomon’s Temple and cross referencing this amazing story with the New Testament. Imagining the intensity of blood sacrifice that needed to be made in order to place the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies was overwhelming. It was a blood soaked walk, the blood of so many animals they lost count. This was just so from that day on one person, the High Priest, could go into the presence of God once a year. Our God filled the Temple with His Glory when the Ark was set in place and fire came down from heaven to consume the first sacrifice made in the Temple. They couldn’t stand His presence was so awesome.

Then I began to see our Jesus walking Calvary Road. It was a blood soaked walk. This time blood was shed so that all people could enter the presence of God just by believing on Him. The veil that once kept the people out of the Holy of Holies was ripped in two from top to bottom when Jesus died on the cross. He became the entrance to the Presence of the Father. Whosoever will believe on Jesus can now step into the Holy of Holies and enjoy the loving Presence of God. His glory now fills the temple of believer’s hearts and His fire burns within. As I sat and wept at the greatness of the sacrifice and the magnanimous love of the Father, I saw myself in the Holy of Holies at the mercy seat, there was gold of His Presence everywhere and my Lord said to me:

Tell My people I have spread My wings of protection over them. I have placed Cherubim to their right and their left with wings touching to shelter, to shield, to protect the dwelling place of My Ark. My delight is in them and I bid them to come and fear not. For My arms are open and my smile wide as the apples of My eye approach. I will run to them and show them the way to the deepest and highest places of My heart and My desire for their lives.

Let us eagerly and boldly draw near to the Father. There is nothing to stop us for Jesus has made the way.
